A near perfect plot on a hillside over looking the river Zuari. A fabulous unobstructed sunset over the mouth of the river and Arabian sea is the prime focus of this villa.
Large doors and windows to allow for fantastic view from all areas of the house needed to be balanced with protection from the elements which are harsh. We took care of that with horizontal elements, like balconies, planters, pergolas, deep roof overhangs, etc. to screen the insides from the sun and rain.
The lower floor and basement parking is designed to be one with the earth. This gives the large villa a solid base structurally as well as aesthetically. The middle floor is almost transparent allowing the upper floor to virtually float on top of it creating a sense of lightness and delicately counterbalance the heavy base.
