An 8 story building at the top of a slope is challenging in itself as the mass can become overwhelming. Especially one that has 270 degree views. Add in the commercial spaces, parking, fire safety requirements increased the complexity. And finally it was topped of with a penthouse for the plot owner.
To contain the mass of the building, we used dark grey walls and white contrasting weather shades and planters weaving their way on the different facades. This massively cut down on the exterior visual mass while offering weather protection for the multiple doors and windows allowing residents to soak in the view unhindered.
The cutting edge design makes it a statement piece as one comes up the hill.
Large commercial establishments take up the ground floor road frontage over basement parking. Stilts are hidden toward the back of the building. The upper floors are made up of 2 and 3 BHK apartments topped by a penthouse on the 8th floor. The upper floors have unobstructed views of the Mandovi and Zuari rivers. The penthouse with its large balconies and terraces gets to enjoy both these views as well as that of the Taleigao fields.
