Due to the number of apartments required, the area of each apartment was quite compact, so we compensated for the lack of space by emphasising a design that felt large, bright and airy. Our team created a project that was inexpensive, yet functional, well-designed and beautiful.
A key feature of Goan town architecture is covered footpaths and archways. We captured this element in our design of the apartments.
A winding walkway between the two blocks is crisscrossed by an archway. These form accesses to the apartments. The overall size of apartment building blocks was broken up to diffuse the overwhelming mass. Traditional, decorative elements are sparingly used to soften the lines.
